Our pets are like four legged members of our
family so if they fall ill we all want to give them
the best possible care that they deserve. As
veterinary medicine and surgery advances in
leaps and bounds we are able to perform more
specialised procedures which may cost several
thousand pounds.
A reassuring way to ensure funds are available
when they are needed is by taking out a pet
insurance policy. Policies vary widely so it is
important to read the small print carefully and
ask the right questions to choose the policy
that is right for you and your pet.
What does the policy cover?
Many policies cover
l
Injuries (e.g. broken leg)
l
Illnesses (e.g. kidney disease)
l
Advertising and recovery costs if your pet
gets lost
l
Third party cover (e.g. if your pet is involved
in a road accident that leads to damage
of property or injuries to members of
the public)
