Big news coming in! We celebrated our 5th birthday this month! Festivities included a virtual party and to add to the celebration, we were named 6th in the Financial Times FT 1000 list which makes us the fastest growing gaming company in Europe.
WE APPEARED IN
Looking back on the founding history of Kolibri Games, the next part of the series with Jungunternehmer Podcast focuses on bootstrapping versus investors and how we ended up in Berlin in 2018. If you want to learn more about monetization best-practices in mobile gaming, listen to the MobileGameDev Podcast from GameRefinery, where our Director of Business Development, Nate, touches on mobile app monetization strategies in a post-IDFA world.
THE KOLIBRI GAMES BLOG
Over on the Kolibri Games blog, we are taking a look at our new projects in 2021 and present our plan for our own LiveOps platform. You can get a glimpse inside the mind of Christian, our Head of DevOps, as he explains how LiveOps is more than a buzzword. He talks about how it benefits mobile games, and especially how we have big plans to create our own LiveOps platform. You can also have a look at the next part in our job-series, where we explain how to become a product manager at Kolibri Games.
This month, we improved loading times for Idle Miner Tycoon! And that’s not all. There are still things to look forward to as we are releasing a whole new continent in the Idle Miner Tycoon universe next month. Stay alert for what theme it will be and what mines you will be able to explore. Coming soon!
KOLIBRI GAMES EVENTS
On March 6th, it was finally time to celebrate our 5th anniversary – virtually of course, but nonetheless filled with surprises, delicious food (delivered to our homes), a wheel of fortune, and party hats (modeled above by the pets of Kolibri Games). It was a great opportunity to come together and celebrate what we’ve achieved over the past 5 years – and to look forward to the next 5 ahead of us! This month, we also held a virtual crafting night featuring tons of clay and outbursts of laughter while building little figurines together. You can read about other ways we are staying social during lockdown in this blog post.
