Guillaume Verlinden appointed as Kolibri Games’ CEO

Berlin, Germany  May 17th, 2021 — Today, Ubisoft announced the appointment of Guillaume Verlinden as the new Managing Director of Kolibri Games, effective June 1. Guillaume replaces former Co-CEOs and Co-founders Daniel Stammler and Janosch Sadowski and CTO Oliver Löffler who recently left to pursue new ventures.

Reporting directly to Ubisoft Mobile’s Executive Director Jean-Michel Detoc, Guillaume will implement his leadership skills and expertise in Product Management to drive growth and excellence within Kolibri Games. Established in 2016, Kolibri Games is the studio behind the mobile smash hit Idle Miner Tycoon, which has been downloaded over 150 million times to date. The studio joined Ubisoft in February 2020.

Guillaume has previously held key positions in Leadership teams at mobile games publishers Social Point and Tilting Point, and as such brings with him a solid experience in mobile-free-to-play. Throughout his career in the mobile space, Guillaume has run successful live games, built successful IPs and managed divisions of 50+ talents.
