What do you do with rock samples from a distant planet? You put them in a CT scanner, of course! In his exciting presentation "Mars Rocks! CT Visualization of Trial-Run Core Sample from the Mars 2020 Program," John Bescup from the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory will show how Volume Graphics software has enabled America's space agency to analyze and visualize rock samples from Mars. After explaining how the core samples were acquired using the Mars 2020 Engineering Model hardware, John will describe how VGSTUDIO MAX was used to analyze them for porosity and how these results were visualized.
