IF MUSIC FLOATS YOUR BOAT

The Unthanks + Guests

The Unthanks are the most innovative and critically acclaimed folk band in modern history.

Known for their timeless, unsentimental and quietly subversive tales of loss, fear drink, brawls, abuse and sorrow, these honest, young storytellers are outside of time, forging links between folk worlds old, new and other.

Enjoy The Unthanks with these very Special Guests in the atmospheric Spiegeltent:

The band’s pianist, arranger and producer Adrian McNally is IF: 2012’s Artist-in-Residence and has been commissioned by The Stables to collaborate with some of the best singer-songwriters around to produce a new album, inspired by the extraordinary and moving stories behind the wood donated by the public for The Lone Twin Boat Project – a unique 30ft sailing boat built especially for the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad.

The album - Harbour of Songs - will be released on Proper Records in July and features The Unthanks, Janis Ian, Villagers, Guy Chambers, Lucy Farrell, Hannah Moulette, Nick Hornby, Alasdair Roberts, Raevennan Husbandes, Jonny Kearney, Ian McMillan, Ralph McTell, Steve Tilston, Sarah Blasko and Nick Hemming (The Leisure Society).
