Clash of Drums: 2015

EXPLOSIVE LIVE ACTION ON THE STREETS OF MILTON KEYNES TO CELEBRATE RUGBY WORLD CUP 2015

Clash of Drums / Danbor Talka

Friday October 2 at 8pm & Saturday October 3 at 9.30pm

FREE event

To celebrate Rugby World Cup 2015, the streets of host city Milton Keynes will become the setting for an explosive and thrilling outdoor spectacular as international companies Les Commandos Percu (from France) and Deabru Beltzak (from the Basque region of Spain) do battle in Clash of Drums.

The two tribes will meet in a cataclysmic collision of fast and frenzied drumming, war-like chanting, fireworks, pyrotechnics and fiercely dramatic movement.

Setting off from Lloyds Court (Friday October 2) and Campbell Park (Saturday October 3), the crowds can follow the combat action as it sweeps through the streets of Milton Keynes towards a fiery finale next to The Point. There, the fury of the devilish war-painted forces is finally transformed into a common energy - unified by fire.

This free event is not to be missed. Milton Keynes is one of the twelve host cities for Rugby World Cup 2015. The Stables and IF: Milton Keynes International Festival have been commissioned by The Parks Trust Events Ltd to deliver this major outdoor showcase event for residents, Rugby fans and visitors to the city.

Les Commandos Percu will be joined by a team of eight UK and Milton Keynes-based pyrotechnic artists who will train with the company and perform in Clash of Drums as part of an international professional development programme delivered by The Stables, IF: Milton Keynes International Festival and Festive Road.
