Architects of Air bring their monumental sculpture Pentalum to Middleton Hall in thecentre:mk.
Walk inside a luminarium . . . a huge walk-in sculpture that immerses the visitor in sound and colour to create a sense of wonder at this unique luminous light and vivid colour experience.
Pentalum is a celebration of the beauty of geometry, inspired by Islamic architecture, Gothic cathedrals, modern architectural innovators and nature. A 5-sided pentagon shape is the base for the main structure’s elements with the exception of the main dome, which, in order to achieve more volume, is heptagonal (7-sided) in form.
With its huge domes, colourful peaked star shapes and flashes of silver, Architects of Air bring something really quite magical and other-worldly to this shopping centre environment, giving visitors a unique and memorable experience.
Since 1992 Architects of Air’s luminaria have made over 600 exhibitions in 40 countries. From Berlin to Brooklyn, Hong Kong to Hawaii, Taipei to Tel Aviv, Sao Paulo to the Sydney Opera House, these incredible luminaria have enchanted audiences around the world.
