Thousands of blocks will be used to create a 2 kilometre long, moving domino-like sculpture that runs across Milton Keynes City Centre, unfolding over the course of the day.
Creating a unique wow-factor event that is at once is engaging, mesmerising and witty, Dominoes has been specially designed to respond to the Milton Keynes city-scape, with sculptural features, highlight performances or ‘tricks’ strategically placed along the route.
Taking in shopping areas, leisure facilities, residential areas, restaurants, bars and boulevards, the domino line will thread its way through well-known, everyday and perhaps little-known parts of Milton Keynes.
From 1pm, explore the Dominoes route as volunteer participants and teams work together to build an unbroken line through the city. Then pick a spot along the way to experience the fall starting at 5.30pm at The Point and culminating spectacularly on Midsummer Boulevard East in the Theatre District
Dominoes has huge appeal for all ages and will involve over 200 local participants, working with the Station House Opera team in the build-up to the event.
