IF YOU'D LIKE TIME TO STAND STILL

Schweigman&: For The Time Being

Boukje SchweigmanPhotographer: Jochem Jurgens

UK Premiere

Can we hold back the tide of time? Can we actually stop the clock?

For The Time Being is a playful theatre performance, made by Utrecht’s Schweigman& - under the artistic direction of leading international theatre-maker Boukje Schweigman - with the percussion group Slagwerk Den Haag.

The earth is running slower and slower, but our world is running faster and faster, and time is rushed. How can we experience time and space in the middle of this chaotic and charged environment?

Combining movement, design, light, sound and manipulation of space, Schweigman& toys with time and creates an experience that is at once uplifting, playful, spontaneous and empowering.
