PWN Paris Newsletter October 2020

Dear Members, Dear Friends,

It was such a pleasure to see you at the occasion of PWN Paris annual Congress, thanks very much for joining! This year's theme was "Talent and Gender Balance, let's build the world of tomorrow". Throughout the day, our speakers' presentations and debates highlighted that progress is definitively underway, but there's still a lot to be done to achieve a real balance and a shared governance.

Francoise Vouillot, renown Researcher on gender issues, reminded us that "there is no biological determinism between girls and boys, we are perfectly equal". This is obvious to many, though women's professional career path is still not equal to men's. Wage differentials continue to exist, women's representativeness in executive boards is only 21%. That’s why we propose three concrete measures to accelerate women's access to executives boards.

This very inspiring day was also a great occasion for PWN Paris to launch it's new unique initiative #MixteTonEntreprise that aims at creating an influential movement in favor of gender balance through best practice sharing, role models and calls for actions under this great motto. Cecile Bernheim, former Co-President of PWN Paris and member of its Advisory Board, who leads the initiative, explains the details in this newsletter edition.

This month, we have also celebrated women entrepreneurs with the Prix Entrepreneure Responsable - PER by PWN - with the prize of the jury was awarded to Meryem Ben Mouaz for L'Intendance and prize of the public to Pauline Arnaud for Kuti Kuti. Congratulations to you both! The ceremony was organised as part of the Positive Impact Day, a new initiative by PWN Paris that aims at gathering representatives from corporate sector and startups to share best practice and create bridges between projects with positive social and environmental impacts.

We, at PWN Paris, are deeply convinced that all of us, women and men, can contribute to transform our world to build a better tomorrow for women and equality, and for society in general.

Let's do it!

With warmest regards,

Françoise Derolez & Marie-Laetitia Gourdin,

PWN Paris Presidents
