Before joining g FIRST, Faith held roles of robotics instructor and coach for Elementary and Middle School levels, administrative duties for a small business consulting engineering firm, and FIRST Senior Mentor for the state of South Carolina. Faith continues to be actively involved in FIRST at the state organizational level and is active across all FIRST programs. While working in the classroom, Faith completed a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management and Master of Science in Human Resource Management. Faith is passionate about STEAM education and the development of best practices to integrate these programs into classrooms around the globe. When she is not focused on FIRST, Faith is an avid equestrian potter, and works with local animal rescue groups in the community to foster dogs and horses. Vinnie Rodino is the Senior Director of School Engagement and Education for FIRST®. In this role, Vinnie works with school districts, educators, state departments of education, FIRST program staff and worldwide FIRST program delivery partners to develop strategies, educational content, curriculum, professional development and roadmaps of implementation to bring equitable and inclusive access to the FIRST® experience. Carolyn received the Louisiana Governor's Technology Award for Leadership in STEM in 2015 and became a driving force for FIRST and STEM advocacy in her Region. In addition to her role as Regional Director, Carolyn continues to work toward the organizational structure and message of FIRST legislative efforts through her role as one of FIRST's Chief State Advocates. Daphne’s role as Regional Director is to support the Program Delivery Partners in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Delaware, as well as direct the FIRST Robotics Competition Greater Pittsburgh Regional event in the Western & Central Pennsylvania Region. Daphne’s role as Chief State Advocate is to further develop relationships with key state government members, policy leaders, and staff who help us to continue the mission of FIRST. With a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education, Master’s as a STEM Instruction Specialist and a second Master’s in Nonprofit Management on the way, she is looking forward to applying her knowledge and passion for FIRST to help provide students with the best possible experience. Kate has spent the better part of 20 years around the FIRST programs. She is an alumnus of the FIRST Team 1108 Panther Robotics and current mentor of FIRST 87. For the last 13 years, Naomi has overseen the training of our Pit Administration volunteers for the FIRST Robotics Competition. Her background includes hospitality and project management. Before her work at FIRST, Naomi worked for the Empire State Development Corporation where she worked on the beautification of 42nd Street between 7th and 8th avenues in New York City. She even has her name on a plaque in the New 42nd Street Theater! Naomi attended Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire. Fun Fact: Naomi’s superpower is gardening and is a native Spanish speaker.",

In 2009 I moved into STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths) education and began a role with the Royal Academy of Engineering and Young Engineers on a pilot project called the London Engineering Project aimed at inspiring young people in hard-to-reach schools in London. Upon completion of the pilot project, I then moved onto Engineering in Motion as International Project Manager responsible for F1 in Schools – Formula 1 STEM Challenge. From there I became Director of Programmes for STEMNET responsible for the National STEM Ambassador programme, STEM Clubs, special projects and the London Schools STEM Advisory Network, before joining the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) as Head of Education 5-19. I now hold the role of Head of Education, Safeguarding and Education Policy, leading a department and team to provide a wide range of opportunities and initiatives, including competitions such as FIRST LEGO League (the largest STEM competition in the UK & Ireland), careers information and FREE curriculum-linked STEM resources, all with the aim of supporting the delivery of STEM both within and outside the classroom. I am also responsible for the IET’s policy work on education and work with Government departments to raise the profile of engineering in the curriculum to inform and inspire the next generation of engineers.",

The VRS is free to use and packages science and technology in the same kind of environment that kids like i.e. sports where the final product happens at center stage. The VRS is a platform that allows students to program and test FIRST Tech Challenge(FTC) robots without the need for physical hardware, making the challenges and risks associated with real equipment obsolete.
