Hi there!

Enjoy the latest Edition of the Kolibri Games Newsletter. This is where we review the events of the past weeks and keep you updated on recent company and product milestones.
For Pride month we celebrated all colors of the rainbow in the brightest fashion. To honor diversity, we send out colorful gift bags with exclusive Kolibri Games Pride merch including our own beach towel – limited time only – to let all Kolibris bathe in Pride this summer.
We are also very excited to announce our second cross-over collaboration for Idle Miner Tycoon. After the “Just Dance”-themed event last year, we are proud to present the Assassin’s Creed crossover event – The Renaissance Season: In the beginning of the season, you can now collect the one and only Ezio Auditore as a Super Manager leaping deep into the mine shaft to collect treasure. When the dark is calling, Ezio answers!
Our Co-founder Oliver Löffler joined a panel over at GameMakers, alongside Andre Cohen and Gaurav Gupta, to discuss Data Infrastructure, its applications and capabilities for live games. Watch the video here to find out how Oli’s recommended tech stack looks like.
After our blog post on LiveOps we go more in-depth on the topic in our latest Podcast episode. Chris and Christian (don’t get confused!) chat about operating live games, what architecture is needed to run games successfully, and the big role data plays. If you are wondering how to get your career in games started, we’ve also got you covered: Kolibris Clara and Moritz discuss their career paths, learnings and the topic of networking. Give it a listen here.
Over on the blog, we discuss feedback culture! In remote times, it’s more important than ever to establish a culture of giving and receiving constructive feedback. Our Head of HR, Thomas, specializes in feedback and has all the tips and tricks available (You will also learn some German in the process).
Lost Desert IMT
Welcome to the land of sand and precious artifacts! The team of Idle Miner Tycoon reveals the highly anticipated new continent – the Lost Desert. For the first time, players will not be expanding their research with new skills and a new skill tree. Instead, they will gather precious artifacts that will help them to progress through a desert filled with ruins of a long-lost civilization.
Our latest game Idle Firefighter Tycoon is also already brimming with updates: We’ve released new fire stations and expanded the city environment: You can now unlock three stations in Idle City and another three in Capital City. Let’s get firefighting!
When the sun starts coming out in Berlin, our number of events goes up. Not only did we welcome Timo Ullmann, founder and CEO of Yager Development GmbH for a virtual Q&A session at our Wisdom & Waffles event series. We also came together for a fun quiz night and even had the first meetups in the office (in smaller numbers than usual) to watch the EURO 2020 soccer spectacle unfold.
