For plant size and biomass the values are the means at the end of the experimental period. The values for vegetative phenology and herbivory level the values are monthly means along the plant lifespan. All data were log(x + 1)- transformed, excepting herbivory rate (ln [1 + 1000H]) and herbivory level. For statistics see main text.
