Appendix H. Average 15N signatures of macrofauna given as a function of time that they are exposed to 15N-labeled Spartina detritus at the sediment surface in (A) tidal flat and (C) hybrid-invaded sites and in subsurface in litterbags at (B) tidal flat and (D) hybrid-invaded sites.Paired t tests were applied with species as replicates to compare 15N uptake at different times. Significant time effects on 15N signatures were observed only in (C) where 4-d signatures were higher than 74-d signatures (one-tailed, paired t test; t7 = -2.142, P = 0.035).
