Description of stratification and ice-cover
Full ice-cover was observed approximately from December to mid-April. Partial thermal stratification started approximately at the end of April and broke down after mid-October. In 2009, a beaver dam increased the water levels during the midsummer as compared to the previous year. In 2010, the summer was hot and the water level declined more than 0.5 meter and in August 2010 we were not able to sample the lowest layer of hypolimnion (2.4–3.0 m).

Number of sampling occasions is 25. Gray bars denote for breaks between sampling seasons due to ice cover.
