Welcome and Apologies

Attendees were welcomed to Beauly CC monthly meeting on ZOOM. Apologies were received from

Rosie Macdonald, Mike Smith, James Campbell, Ivor Campbell all contributed by email and telephone.

Police Report

No community engagement report for the period was received. No items were raised with regard to Police Scotland.

Minutes of Meeting 22nd February 2021

The minutes were approved by Soena Fraser and seconded by Roy Harrison

Matters from last Meeting.

 

4.1

GCU (UK) request for a meeting.  Secretary contacted the local manager Munro Pirrie.  No response. Needs follow-up

Larder, community council to commence discussions with wider community on needs/options

available when CC wind down project.

£1500 received from ward discretionary fund which will see us through till end of June

Village Map good progress being made but on hold till business back up and running after 2nd lockdown.

Further payment of £300 made to Helen holding back £200 to allow for inserting adverts when they become available.

Village Road Repairs. 

It was felt a more proactive approach was required: Mark Simmons volunteered.

. Manhole around Priory Hotel,Chip shop has become a trip hazard. THC informed.

. Pothole opened in entrance to Phipps Hall.

. Potholes opened at bottom end of Ferry Road

. Drain smell around station road/ Bridgend.

. Concerns raised about cars blocking access for electric wheelchairs across Square. A lot of road markings are also wearing off.

AOB from meeting 27.2.21 still to be discussed as not full quorum at March meeting.

Beauly Playparks - bark, swings removed from Braeview park, equipment removed from Orchard park and maple vale closed due to shortage of bark.

Beauly CC and Gala purchased bark for maple vale and Roy Harrison to apply for refund as funds have now been allocated for play parks by Highland Council.
