Maclaverty Cooper Atkins has been representing clients in West London for more than 15 years. The firm offers advice and representation at police stations, Magistrates Courts and Crown Courts.
We have vast experience dealing with high profile cases which attract wide media interest. Our policy is never to accept or deny that we are instructed, this maintains the highest level of client confidentiality, and limits press reporting, we maintain details of all media reporting including that which is internet based to ensure the fairness of any court proceedings
Due to the type and often complex nature of the cases we handle we are often able to secure the services of some of the best criminal barristers this country has to offer.
Our philosophy
The principal, Ms Julie Cooper, strongly believes in the provision of excellence and is proud of her enthusiastic hard working team. The ethos of the firm is to provide the best possible outcome for each of its clients. We at Maclaverty Cooper Atkins realise that we are not dealing with cases but with individuals, with people who may be experiencing the criminal justice system for the first time, who are concerned about loss of livelihood, shame or even loss of liberty.
Our clients
We are acutely aware of the sense of isolation, loneliness and helplessness felt by those in custody and the need to reach them, as quickly as possible at any time of the day or night. As a result, if a client wishes to see a solicitor outside normal working hours, this service is always available.
Our costs
We appreciate that cost must be a factor in determining choice of legal services providers, to that end we keep our costs to a minimum without diminishing the quality of service, we do this by the use of technology, the avoidance of duplication, the use of skill in ensuring we obtain the maximum information at each stage, by matching the right level of expertise to the case in hand and perhaps equally importantly, the right fee structure to each type of case.
