Compare the difference in Z-axis depth perspective and X-axis field of view when moving the camera to achieve a specific framing versus using different focal lengths. For example, a Long Shot taken with a wide angle lens from a fairly close proximity (b1 on right) has a completely different look than a Long Shot taken with a normal lens from further away (B - Normal on left). Not only is the Z-axis elongated with the wide angle lens, but the field of view includes the seated woman in the background, a detail which the narrower field of view of the normal lens eliminates.
