Access & Getting Around

GENERAL INFORMATION: Feast of Fire is an outdoor and standing event that takes place at night-time. The event involves fireworks and pyrotechnics, flames, burning sculptures and noise, culminating in a dramatic fiery finale. Please watch your step whilst moving and do not bring pets or very small children.

EVENT LOCATIONS:

The Point Car Park: Located between Lower Tenth Street and Secklow Gate in Central Milton Keynes. The nearest postcode for the Car Park is MK9 3NB.

Midsummer Boulevard East: This part of the Boulevard is also known as the Theatre District - near MK Gallery and Milton Keynes Theatre. The Gallery's postcode is MK9 3QA 

ACCESS INFORMATION: Central Milton Keynes has good parking facilities and ample cyclepaths and level access/walkways.

BLUE BADGE PARKING: Located just off Midsummer Boulevard, between Secklow Gate and The Food Centre. City Centre information is available www.miltonkeynes.gov.uk.

ACCESSIBLE VIEWING PLATFORM: A raised viewing platform for wheelchair users and people with restricted mobility is located in The Point Car Park at the end nearest to Midsummer Boulevard.

AUDIO DESCRIPTION: VocalEyes will provide audio description for the Spellbound show and then later on in the evening for the music - Mr Wilson's Second Liners and DJ Ritu - on the stage in The Point Car Park. Headsets will need to be collected from the Information Point in The Point Car Park - located between the entrance and Viewing Platform at the end of the car park nearest to Midsummer Boulevard.

AUDIO TOUR: Audio Described Tours for visually impaired audience members will take place on Saturday 21 October at 7.15pm and 8pm, led by VocalEyes and lasting approximately 30 minutes. There are 12 places available per tour. The tours are FREE but please book in advance to secure a place via The Stables Box Office on 01908 280800, or call into The Stables in person at Stockwell Lane, Wavendon, Milton Keynes MK17 8LU.

BSL SIGN INTERPRETATION: Sign interpretation will be available for Spellbound and later the live music - Mr Wilson's Second Liners and DJ Ritu - both in The Point Car Park. Sign Interpreters will be located on the performance stages.

TOILETS: Facilities will be available in The Point Car Park at the end nearest to Midsummer Boulevard.

All services that would usually operate will run, however, please note the following changes: 

  • On Friday 20 October (to accommodate the event set-up), from 18:30 to 23:30, buses will not serve stops A5, B4, C4, D4, E4 at the Theatre District and Xscape. Please also see posters at the affected bus stops for further details.
  • On Saturday 21 October (event night), from 17:00 to 23:30, buses will not serve stops at the Theatre District, Xscape and The Point. Use stops at the Business District and stops Q3, R3 and Q4, R4 at CBX on Midsummer Boulevard towards Milton Keynes Central railway station. Please also see posters at the affected bus stops for further details.
