Road Closures

As Feast of Fire takes place In the centre of Milton Keynes, some road closures and parking restrictions have been put in place to accommodate the event on Saturday 21 October.

The event organisers aim to bring as little impact to the local roads and residents as possible.

Please accept apologies for any inconvenience caused whilst this event takes place. Road closures have been agreed with Milton Keynes Council Highways and full notification has been given to the emergency services, bus and taxi companies.

THE FEAST OF FIRE EVENT ON SATURDAY 21 OCTOBER: The event will primarily take place on Midsummer Boulevard East and in The Point Car Park, taking in Secklow Gate, Lower 9th Street, Lower 10th Street and Avebury Boulevard. 

Midsummer Boulevard East

  • Both carriageways of Midsummer Boulevard East between the junctions with Marlborough Gate and Secklow Gate will be closed to traffic.
  • An area for food and drink traders will be located in the parking area outside the old Waitrose.
  • In addition, the parking spaces along each side of Midsummer Boulevard East will be suspended.

Secklow Gate

  • Secklow Gate will be closed between Midsummer Boulevard East and Avebury Boulevard.
  • This closure will stay in place until the end of the event to allow for the safe egress of the audience after the finale performance
  • A section of Pay & Display parking outside the MK Food Centre will be closed to facilitate accessible parking for Blue Badge holders

The Point Car Park and Firework Fall-out Zones

  • Parking in The Point Car Park is suspended.
  • Avebury Boulevard will be closed in both directions between Lower Ninth Street and Secklow Gate.
  • Lower Ninth Street and Lower Tenth Street will also be closed.
  • The Pay & Display parking surrounding the Point Car Park will also be closed.
