IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Please help us to keep this a family-friendly event that everyone can enjoy safely.
Organisers are preparing for Feast of Fire to go ahead as planned and don’t anticipate any major disruption due to the weather. Specialist weather forecasts and local conditions have been continually monitored in the run-up to this evening’s event. The safety of the public and the event team is paramount. In the event of extreme weather, some changes may need to be made to the planned programme.
Feast of Fire is an outdoor and standing event that takes place at night-time - please watch your step and move slowly.
Please avoid loose clothing, though wear clothes to keep you warm and dry, with sensible shoes for walking.
Portable, picnic or collapsible chairs and stools cannot be accommodated.
Feast of Fire is NOT a traditional fireworks event. However the evening will be punctuated by fire and pyrotechnic effects for Spellbound between 6.30pm and 7pm, and then a combination of fireworks, fire drawings and live music will feature with Mr Wilson's Second Liners and DJ Ritu, on a fiery stage from 10pm and 10.30pm in The Point Car Park. Timings are subject to change and are approximate.
Please do not bring pets or very small children, infants and babies. Registered assistance dogs are welcome.
Please do not touch any of the burning metal fire sculptures - they are very hot and fiery, and you could be badly burnt!
No BBQs, sparklers, fireworks or bonfires are permitted from members of the public.
Feast of Fire is suitable for families (please see the note above about very small children) and Spellbound in particular is for people of all ages. The Spellbound show starts at 6.30pm in The Point Car Park.
Please ensure you supervise accompanying children or vulnerable adults at all times. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
Only entertainers, acts, artists, events, stalls and traders contracted by Feast of Fire are permitted at the event.
The Bar will be located on Midsummer Boulevard East by the Food Centre. You must be 18 or over to purchase alcoholic drinks. If you are lucky enough to look under 25, please bring ID as you will be asked each time you buy a drink. Challenge 25 is in place at all bars. Accepted forms of ID are passport, driver’s license or anything with a PASS logo (www.pass-scheme.org.uk). It is illegal to buy alcohol for another person who is under 18.
Please do not bring your own alcohol, glass, drinks, bottles or drugs on to the event site - they are not permitted so you will not be admitted.
Anyone deemed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs and incapable of being responsible for themselves and others will be asked to leave the event site.
Security teams, stewards and Information Points will be at event locations to assist the public.
Do not bring large bags, backpacks, rucksacks etc to the event site. Bag searches by badged SIA security staff may take place on the event site, please co-operate if asked.
On entering the event you consent to official filming, photography and sound recording as members of the public, which may be used in future promotions by organisers.
Please take your rubbish home with you or put it in a bin.
Organisers reserve the right to implement any restrictions and conditions deemed necessary before and during the event to ensure the safety of the public, staff and artists.
Please be responsible for your own actions. Stay safe, be sensible and enjoy your visit!
